Relapse Prevention (Don't make these 3 mistakes!)

The best relapse prevention strategies are watching out for BAD THINKING. It's so hard to get into recovery, you don't want to lose it.

In this video, I'll teach you how to identify the top 3 thinking mistakes that lead people to relapse, so you won't fall into those traps. Addiction is a nightmare of lies, shame, resentment, broken relationships and is ultimately terminal if not addressed. Ensure you never go back to that nightmare again!

These are the three major thinking mistakes that can cause relapse:


The most common reason people relapse on drugs/alcohol is they think "I'm different!". This could be used many ways, but an example of this would be, "I can do this without help" or "I'm an addict, but I can still smoke marijuana" or "I'll just have one drink ".

If you find you are talking yourself into this, it is one of the most obvious danger signs of an impending relapse.


It's CUNNING AND BAFFLING. You've heard that before, but it's true. The mind control that it can have on you and everything around you is powerful. You have got to have a healthy respect for what you're dealing with! The good news is, addiction is pretty predictable! Remember addiction wants to get you separated from the pack and pounce! Never underestimate addiction!


When you're stressed out, worn down, and you're not dealing well with the relationships you've formed. This is where you'll start feeling sorry for yourself. Don't let yourself get to this point! This thinking can make your life and world miserable, and lead right into a relapse.
