Thoughts on Suboxone

Thoughts on Suboxone (and medication-assisted treatment in general) -

Medication-assisted treatment is most definitely a hot topic in the world of addiction and recovery. In this video, you'll hear my professional opinion about suboxone (opiate replacement medication). I strongly suggest that people/families educate themselves on this issue before they make a decision.

Suboxone is a medication given to individuals who are dependent (addicted) to pain pills or heroin. It's made up of mostly buprenorphine and a little naloxone.

Buprenorphine is a longer lasting opiate (same as pain pills) and naloxone is an opiate blocker.
