3 key ingredients for an effective recovery plan, and 3 VALUES that we incorporate into the therapeutic work we do with clients.
The first 2, self-awareness & resiliency, were the focus of recent blogs by Cole & Campbell. They do an excellent job explaining these concepts and articulating the power they can have in helping people make positive changes in their lives.
If you haven’t read these blogs yet I highly encourage you to do so. Here are the links to each.
Regarding HOPE, I thought I would share with you a quote that I find helpful when trying to navigate difficult ‘life’ situations.
THAT’S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO, EVER.
YOU REALLY DON’T HAVE TO BE AMAZING,
OR FIERCE OR BEAUTIFUL
OR SUCCESSFUL OR GOOD
JUST KEEP GOING, PLEASE.
SLOWLY IS FINE.
CRAWLING IS FINE.
NO FEELING IS FINAL.
Switching gears a bit...When was the last time you volunteered?
Hope for Families will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity on 7/28/18 (8:00 AM - 11:30AM.) We will be helping to build a house here in Greenville for a family in need. No Home-building experience is required, just a desire to help out.
“The best way to find yourself
Is to lose yourself in the
Service of others.”
‘Habitat’ is a phenomenal organization, I have personally worked with them in the past on home builds, and have found the experience(s) to be rewarding on many levels: Physically, emotionally, spiritually! Here is a link to their website if you want to know more about them: Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County.
We only have a few spots left, so if you are interested in participating send me an email to let me know. Jeff@hffrc.com
Thanks for reading & Happy 4thof July!
